Highlights from Noah McLaughlin’s Basketball Debut

It was a memorable night for Noah McLaughlin, his parents, his teammates, his coaches, and the fans of Spring Station Middle School in Spring Hill. As Williamson Source’s Nick Paranjape first reported, this 14-year-old amputee has been the Mustangs’ team manager, but the athletic director and coaches decided to surprise Noah by letting him suit up and play in the team’s final home game of the season. Noah, who was born without fingers and a right leg, actually played in two games February 18th. In the first junior varsity game, the 8th grader hit two 3’s and a two pointer. Later, Noah played with the varsity and attempted six shots. On his seventh try with seconds remaining, Noah sank a 3-pointer as the packed gym went crazy chanting “Noah, Noah, Noah!” The Mustangs went on to win the game. Here are a few of the highlights from the varsity game.
