High School Lacrosse Update 4.9

Brentwood took on Centennial back on Monday, a score has not been released to the press as of yet but the Bruins were coming off of a 15-1 win over Cookeville in a game played back Saturday. BHS will take on Webb on April 12th.

Centennial played to 0-0 draw in their previous game versus O’Fallon.  The Cougars next match up will be against Franklin on Friday.

The Fightin’ Irish of Father Ryan are playing some of the best lacrosse in the state right now. Winners of their last four and ranked 5th in the state according to MaxPreps.com, they are coming off of a 12-2 win over St. George’s. Father Ryan got three goals from junior Matt White as well as two goals from fellow junior Reece Jamison.  They will be at University School of Nashville today.

The Rebels of Franklin are really struggling right now. Sitting at 1-9 the Rebels have lost three in a row since recording their first win against West Knoxville. In their last outing they fell to Houston 10-3. The future does show some promise though as two sophomores scored in the game. Cameron Akrawi and John Morrison both found the back of the net in the loss. The Rebels host Cookeville today.

Currently ranked 3rd in the state by Max Preps, the Ravenwood Raptors have won six straight since their loss to MBA back on March 7th. In their most recent game, they held on for a 5-3 win over University. The Raptors got two goals from sophomore Matthew Perez in the victory. Senior Jack Melgaard also had a big game with a goal and an assist. Their next game isn’t until the 17th of April when they take on Ensworth.
