Yes, I am aware that it is called “The High Five” yet the title only gives a description of three items. That’s called luring the reader in. Now you’re thinking “what are the other two topics going to be?” “I have to know” *Click*

[accordion title=”1. Gif of the Week”]
Our GIF of the week comes from the Franklin-Smyrna game I covered last week. Kamran Tate made this diving catch to preserve a 4-3 lead in the top of the fifth. His Rebels, however, would give up five runs in the top of the seventh in the 8-5 loss.

[accordion title=”2. Stupid Foul”]
I have seen players defend shots in the last few seconds of a two possession game so many times. And I have often wondered, why even risk going after the shooter?
What if Lewis just lets him shoot there…and he makes it.
OH NO!! VCU is only up one with 3.6 seconds left. Now all Stephen F. Austin has to do is get a steal and a basket in less than four seconds and it’s over.
Sarcasm aside. JeQuan Lewis did not foul Desmond Haymon but why even give the referee a chance to make that call?

[accordion title=”3. Pursuit of Perfection”]
Brad Binder became a celebrity when his bracket that he turned into Yahoo Sports was a perfect 32 of 32 in the first round. Binder would have been eligible for Warren Buffet’s $1 Billion had Binder entered it into that contest.
After Dayton spoiled the perfection, Binder said this on twitter, “That’s the close I have ever come to not winning $1 Billion.”
Actually one bracket in our challenge has more elite eight teams left than Brad does. Bayron Binkley’s bracket looks better than Binder’s as this point.
Here is the standings for the Williamson Source Bracket Challenge.

[accordion title=”4. Public v Private”]
Going to a catholic private school in Louisville, KY I have heard the Public-private argument for quite some time. Now that a proposal has been raised here I will provide my proposal for making it fair.
The less likely to happen options are:
1. No postseason, just rotate state championship trophies in every division every year. Like for football, Centennial will be given the state championship this year, then a few years later (after everyone else has had a turn) they get it again.
2. Get rid of zoning. If a Waverly Public School wants to recruit Nashville players so be it. And if CPA can get a guy from, like, Saginaw Michigan to come play baseball for them, let them. Just abide by the few simple rules the NCAA has on recruiting athletes and it should be fine.
