Heritage Moments–Henry Davis

Long time Franklin resident, Henry Davis is a story teller and joke lover. His life’s story is one of hard work, travel, love, family and, of course, fishing adventures!

Born in Smyrna, Henry has lived in various areas of TN, California, Chicago and even spent time in Germany while in the army. Henry has done it all and has never been afraid to try something new. His sense of adventure has allowed him to be an accomplished musician, distinguished military man, businessman and community advocate.

When Henry’s life brought him to Franklin in the early 1970s, Henry saw the need for a lumber and building supplies store. His business was very successful. With his skill set, Henry built his own home in Franklin, where he lives today. Franklin residents probably know Henry for his community efforts, as a member of the Rotary Club since the 70s and a member of the Chamber of Commerce since 1980. Henry has had the pleasure of serving as president of both of these institutions.

Henry is married with three children and six grandchildren.
