Heritage Middle School Black History Month Assembly Speaker

For Black History Month Reverend Rueben Y. Dockery, Sr. spoke at Heritage Middle School in a special assembly. Heritage Middle School choir also performed during the assembly.

Reverend Rueben Y. Dockery, Sr. has served in the social service arena for the past twenty years. He has contributed to humanity as a pastor, non-profit founder, professional educator, counselor and juvenile detention supervisor.

Since 1998 Reverend Dockery, founder and executive director of BFC Missions Inc., has been working as an advocate for families and communities to improve the quality of life for families facing social challenges. In addition to his position with the non-profit organization, he is the pastor of Beythel Family Church located in Nashville, Tennessee.

Currently Reverend Dockery is working towards the completion of a Ph. D. in Education. He holds a Master of Education degree from Trevecca Nazarene University, Bachelor of Arts degree (History) from Fisk University – both in Nashville, Tennessee. He also holds an Associate degree in Divinity Studies.

Reverend Dockery resides in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife Shanita; they have two children, Kayla and Rueben Jr.
