The big news from the 40th Annual Heritage Ball is… Andy and Jan Marshal are to chair the event. This wonderful announcement came at the Heritage Ball Kick-Off mixer sponsored by and held at First Bank. The ball will be Saturday, September 21st at the Eastern Flank Battlefield Park and it will be a retrospective on all that has been accomplished over the past 40 years.
FirstBank’s commitment as presenting sponsor shows their continued support to the community and the Heritage Foundation’s mission. Without significant support from members, sponsors and supporters these fundraising events would not occur. “FirstBank is making a big investment in downtown Franklin because we believe in the value of our history, and the Heritage Foundation has been the driving force behind preserving and enhancing our historic treasures,” said Gordon Inman, FirstBank’s Chairman – Middle Tennessee.
The evening was full of familiar faces. We took some video and photos so you can experience the event yourself. Gordon Inman, Chris Holmes (President and CEO of FirstBank) and Tim Pagliara (Founder of CapWealth) were in attendance and stopped for photos right before the big announcement. Once attention was gathered it was revealed that Jan and Andy Marshall, long-time Williamson County residents, owners of Puckett’s restaurants and more will Chair the 40th Annual Heritage Ball.
References were made back and forth about the first ball and where the Heritage Foundation has come over the years. Jan Marshall said. “We’re looking forward to working with the team to make the 40th Anniversary event one that will be remembered another half century from now. We’ve always been proud to be associated with the Heritage Foundation, and it is a true honor to be asked to serve as chairs of the Heritage Ball,”
Angela Calhoun returns this year as design chair, “We are planning some special surprises throughout the evening that I think will make this one of the most memorable events ever. Every year, we try to build upon and top what has been done before, so our goal is to deliver an amazing experience that will dazzle all of the senses!”
For 46 years the Heritage Foundation has protected and preserved the architectural, geographic and cultural heritage of Franklin and Williamson County and promoted the ongoing economic revitalization of downtown Franklin in the context of historic preservation.
