The Heirloom Shop-A Franklin Christmas Tradition

The Heirloom Shop, located at 404 Main Street in Historic Downtown Franklin, has been a favorite holiday shopping stop for 24 years. Original owner Rose Wright started the Christmas themed shop in 1989. Current owner Elaine Thompson says the store is about Christmas year around, but especially this time of year.

” We celebrate every holiday here at The Heirloom Shop, but you can always find Christmas!”  And she is right!  While you may run across the occasional patriotic or St. Patty’s Day ornament, the store has exploded in the color and glitter of Christmas. And not just ornaments. Collectible nutcrackers, snow globes and unique gifts can also be found throughout the store. Lines include Dept.56, Snowbabies, Old World Christopher Radko, and Beyer’s Choice Carolers (pictured above)

An annual event at The Heirloom Shop is when a Christopher Radko designer comes into town to sign a custom ornament.This year’s994958_228866873944429_185413145_n signing is Sunday, November 17th from 1-3 p.m. at the store and Thompson is excited.

“The Christopher Radko Signing Event this Sunday features Senior Designer Mario Tare’. We are now taking orders if you cannot be here for the event. The ornament is $60.00 and we will take orders over the phone and have them signed by the artist and you can pick them up after the signing event. The name of the ornament is “Best Friends Forever”.”(pictured)
