Headaches for some in Brentwood begin Wednesday

According to Kirk Bednar, City Manager of Brentwood, Johnson Chapel Road will be temporary closed. According to a press release sent by Bednar:

In order to expedite the on-going waterline installation project along Johnson Chapel Road/Belle Rive Drive, the City has initiated road closures associated with work taking place east of Arden Ct.  Beginning Wednesday, June 25th, construction crews will be installing water lines along Johnson Chapel Rd. east of Arden Court requiring the closure of Johnson Chapel Rd.  This work area and subsequent closure will progress eastward as crews install the new pipe.

Due to the narrowness of the road, this closure will be impassable and therefore require those living east of the closure to exit the neighborhood to the east via Granny White Pike;  those living west of the closure will be required to exit the neighborhood to the west via Murray Lane. The location of the closure point will change each day as the work progresses east.

Daily updates of the closure will be broadcast via the city’s website and social media outlets. It is anticipated the closures will be in place for approximately four to six weeks. Drivers using this route should exercise caution and be prepared for changing traffic conditions.  We thank you for your patience as we move to complete this challenging project.  For more information contact the City of Brentwood Service Center at 615-371-0080.
