Remember the iPhone pinching trend? Â There’s a new trend and, again, it involves putting your iPhone in danger.
Many have attempted the new trend of high-fiving yourself while taking a picture at the same time. In doing so, you must throw your phone up in the air and high-five yourself. Â However, only one so far has successfully completed the task. Â See the tweet from Seth Schneider below.
Today is the proudest day of my life. I successfully took a picture of me high fiving myself pic.twitter.com/tCZ53T5JSx

So far, Schneider’s tweet has been retweeted over 175,000 times and liked by over 400,000 users. It has caused quite the frenzy with thousands throwing their phone up in the air to attempt the same feat.
The new high-fiving selfie takes the plain old vanilla selfies to the next level, but is it worth it? Â We did see one attempt where they put a pillow in the sink to avoid cracking their phone’s screen. See a few other Twitter followers who have joined in on the trend.

And then there are those who tweeted their unsucessful attempts which ended in phone damage.
I tried to take a picture of me giving myself a high five and my phone ended up being flown across the study hall room
