Harpeth Square Project Causes Some Downtown Franklin Road Closures

Harpeth Square

Downtown Franklin’s Harpeth Square project will require road closures over the next couple of weeks.

Road closures began Monday, June 18 and will continue for up to 2 weeks with plans to finish before July 4. Expect road closures at  1st and Bridge and from 2nd Avenue to Main Street. Traffic will be limited to one lane beginning at 9 a until 3 p daily. After 3 p the roads will be open to traffic. As of June 19, Main Street will also be closed starting from 8 p until 3 a for three to four days.

According to Steve Bacon, COO of Harpeth Associates, Harpeth Hotel is expected to open in early June 2019 and the residences beginning in July and continuing through November 2019. The retail and office space, which is the last component should be finished in November 2019.

As the construction continues on the project, Bacon noted that Harpeth Square will begin parking in the garage this summer but it won’t be ready for the public until the Hotel opens next June freeing up street parking.

Sometime this summer, Harpeth Square will be announcing the name and information on the restaurant in the Hotel as well as the Café. Both of these will be operated by the Hotel Management Company, Valor Hospitality. They will have their own identities and entrances but be located in the Harpeth Hotel and both will have ample outdoor seating.
