If you have some free time Friday, June 22 then head out to the Harpeth and help with the stream clean up. Starting at 9 A.M. the area from Kinnie Road to Moran Road will be the focus of attention.
The banks will be assessed for failure from flooding, areas that need work will be recorded, extraction of larger objects will be discussed for future removal, improper discharging into the water will be assessed and trash will be collected off the banks. If you can help meet at the put in point off Kinnie Road. Transportation back to your vehicle will be provided and approximately 5 miles of river will be cleaned up.
Trash bags, gloves and refreshments will be provided, but volunteers must provide their own canoes. Contact Michael Scott to see if he still needs help at (615) 790-5608.
