K-9 Korral, the dog park at Harlinsdale Farm, reopened Oct 10th after the park closed for repairs due to significant rain and flooding. However, the rest of the park remains closed until further notice. Visitors to the dog park are asked to use the North entrance.
City of Franklin issued a statement regarding the closure.
“Due to significant rain and flooding over a period of six days during and after the Pilgrimage Festival, producers asked for an extension in breaking down their equipment and vacating the Park at Harlinsdale farm. The City granted an extension until October 5th,” according to a statement from the City of Franklin.
Pilgrimage Festival ended abruptly on Saturday, Sept. 22 and was also canceled on Sunday, Sept. 23 due to significant rainfall.
“In early evaluation of the farm grounds, the City will require the closure of the park until repairs can be completed to make the park safe for all visitors,” reads the statement.
City of Franklin confirmed that they will be working with Pilgrimage Music Festival and their insurance to cover the cost of repairs.
Of note, Unite Williamson was to hold its inaugural event at Harlinsdale Farm on October 20 but changed its location to Eastern Flank Battlefield as of earlier this week. Currently, the Poloween event on October 28th is still on the schedule.
Keep checking back for more updates as to when the park will be reopened.
