Handy Hardware, located at 731 Columbia Avenue in downtown Franklin, has announced its closure.
Owned by Andy Willoughby, Handy Hardware has been a family business since 1971. On Facebook, they shared the announcement with customers.
It is with a heavy, but very grateful heart that we announce our Inventory Clearance sale, now through the end of December. We are grateful to have been a family-owned business for 48 years.
All the folks we met along the way hold a special and very dear place in our hearts.
Andy and I will be moving on to a new phase of our lives, but don’t count us out. There are many happy things to come.
Please stop in and say hi … and take advantage of the markdowns for your Christmas and household needs.
Thank you all.
Handy Hardware is more than a local store to purchase items for household projects, they offer gift items, metal detectors, collectible items, and moon pies. The hardware store was featured on Tennessee Crossroads and was home to the radio show Viva NashVegas.
There’s no word yet on when the store will close but keep checking back here for more updates. Follow Handy Hardware on Facebook for more news.
