Gray’s on Main Adds Key Staff to the Team

The new Franklin Landmark, Gray’s on Main has added Executive Chef Kenneth Jenkins and Mixologist Jon Yeager to their team. For more than 65 years the Gray’s pharmacy thrived in downtown and now the location will once again be an active part of the look and feel of historic Franklin.

The menu at Gray’s on Main will feature the best of the South in food and drink. “Our menu will be eclectic but traditional, elevated Southern cuisine that melds classic flavors with a little bit of the unexpected,” said Owner Michael Cole. “The food and the drinks will be built on simple, fresh, seasonal ingredients, and presented in a way that encourages sharing and social interaction. Kenny and Jon are the perfect people to help us bring this vision to life.”

Jenkins started his culinary path at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville while earning a bachelor’s degree. He worked at the Copper Cellar and the Mill as a line chef. He furthered his talents by moving to Colorado and studying at Johnson & Wales University and working with renowned Chef Bruce Yim at Sweet Basil.

Yeager is the founder of PourTaste, a craft cocktail consulting company. He was one of the original bartenders at the Holland House. Currently he and his wife Lindsay focus on their new consulting business. They have produced a recipe book, a television pilot and the nation’s first craft cocktail locater app for IPhones.

Gray’s on Main is set to open in late April. Stay tuned for more as the Williamson Source is scheduled to tour the new location after the Easter holiday!
