Grace Christian and quarterback Austin Amor are capable of putting up points in a hurry, but the Lions spotted Cornersville too big a lead on Friday in a 39-15 road defeat.
Amor accounted for most of GCA’s 261 yards. He was 13-of-18 for 111 yards, one touchdown and one interception, ran 16 times for 79 more, and caught a 70-yard scoring strike from Josh Amor.
Grace Christian (1-2) trailed 20-8 at the half, the lone score coming on Josh Amor’s touchdown pass to Austin Amor.
Oliver Hunter led Grace Christian with nine tackles, all solo.
Cornersville sealed the game with 13 fourth-quarter points.
GCA travels to Richland next week.
