We first met Emi Sunshine a couple of years ago at Pilgrimage Festival. The East Tennessee native is back in town for a few upcoming shows. The Dr. Ralph Stanley tribute at The Opry, Trucks and Tunes Event at Granberry Elementary and next week she will perform in Franklin at Music City Roots.Â
A video of Emi playing at the Tennessee Flea market went viral in 2014. Since then her fan base has grown to over 500,000 followers on Facebook and over 14 million views on her YouTube channel.
We had the opportunity to sit down with the 13-year-old songstress to talk about new music, her latest instrument she’s learning to play and hear one of her latest songs.
