GNASH Teams Honored at Preds Game

Two GNASH hockey teams were recognized Tuesday night during the Nashville Predators game against the Vancouver Canucks.

The Brentwood Ice Bruins and Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central combination team were introduced on ice during the first intermission at Bridgestone Arena.

Brentwood won GNASH’s Predators Cup on the same ice March 6, defeating Montgomery Bell Academy 6-1. They went on to represent Tennessee in the 2015 Toyota-USA Hockey National Championship in St. Louis. The Bruins advanced through pool play, but were eliminated in the tournament’s quarterfinal round.

Mt. Juliet-Wilson Central faced off with Franklin at Bridgestone for the GNASH Henry Hine Cup. Franklin won that game 1-0, forcing a second game which took place March 23 at Ford Ice Center. They went on to earn the Cup that night with a 5-2 win.

After Tuesday, only five regular season games remain before the start of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Keep up-to-date with hockey action with our Weekly Predators Recap every Sunday.
