Let’s take a look at results and standings for the Girls Volleyball teams in our area.
Class 3A-District 11
Brentwood so far this year is undefeated and sitting atop the district. The 7-0 (district) Bruins, just in the last two weeks, beat district-opponents Franklin, Summit, Centennial and Independence. They have Ravenwood coming up on the 22nd.
Franklin is in second place, at 7-1, with the Rebels only loss coming from Brentwood. The Rebels beat Dickson County on Thursday, 3-2, and have Centennial coming up on the 22nd.
Ravenwood is in third place, with a 4-3 district record. The Raptors play at Dickson County (0-8) on Monday. In the last week Ravenwood beat Independence but lost to Franklin.
Centennial sits at fourth, at 4-4. The Cougars play Franklin on Tuesday. In the last week Centennial beat Indy and Dickson Co but lost to Father Ryan and Brentwood.
Summit is fifth at 3-4. playing Friday. The Spartans beat Dickson County and Evangelical Christian in the last week.
Independence is sixth at 1-6. The Eagles play at Harpeth on Monday, and lost to Brentwood and Centennial in the last week.
Division II-AA
Father Ryan is in third at 4-0. The Fighting Irish beat Centennial and Ensworth in the last week, and have Harpeth Hall coming up.
Brentwood Academy is fifth at 2-3. The Eagles just beat Evangelical Christian but lost to Franklin, and have district adversary Father Ryan on Thursday.
Division II-A
Battle Ground Academy is in fifth, at 2-0. The Wildcats have St. Cecilia on Tuesday.
Franklin Road Academy is in the bottom half of the district with an 0-3 record in it. The Panthers play Zion Christian on Monday.
Class A District 11
Grace Christian is 1-6, and plays Farragut on Monday.
Class AA District 12
Page is in first place with a 3-0 record. Spring Hill and Christ Presbyterian are right behind them with 1-1 records. Page plays at Spring Hill on Tuesday and hosts Christ Presbyterian on Thursday, so the standings might be shaking up.
Class AA District 11
Fairview as 2-8. The Yellowjackets host Hampsire on Monday.
