Girls Soccer Round Up–9/4

With Girls Soccer in full swing, let’s take a look at results and standings for the teams in our area:

 Girls Soccer Division I Class A-AA Region 6 District 11

  • Fairview hasn’t lost a District game and is rated as one of the best in the state on both offense and defense. The Lady Yellow Jackets are coming off a 19-0 thrashing of Hickman County on the road. With a record of  4-0-1, 4-0 in District play, the year is off to a good start for Fairview. Fairview will travel to Gallatin for the Ladies Championships on September 9th and then a 2-day tourney at USN on the 10th and 11th.
  • The  Grace Christian Academy Lady Lions won their third game in a row with a 5-1 win over Nashville Christian. The victory improves GCA’s record to 3-2. Gabby Jones, Kathryn Carroll, Abby White, and Anna Blair Fish all had goals.

Girls Soccer Division I Class A-AA Region 6 District 12

  • CPA started the season with 2 losses, but they have won their last 3 by a total of 17-0 including a district win over Giles County. The CPA Lady Lions face Brentwood Academy and Centennial in the upcoming week.
  • After a win at Centennial, the Page Lady Patriots dropped two straight to BA and Independence. Since then, the ladies bounced back to win their last 2 against Lipscomb Academy and district foe Wayne County. The Lady Patriots travel to FRA and Spring Hill next week.
  • The Spring Hill Lady Raiders have won their first 3 games 30-5, including a 17-0 drubbing of district opponent Wayne County in week 1. The Lady Raiders welcome district foes Cascade and Page this week.

Girls Soccer Division I Class AAA Region 6 District 11

  • Franklin’s Lady Rebels have had only 1 goal in their first 5 games scored on them. Coming off their win over Centennial, the Lady Rebels face Father Ryan and Paul Dunbar from Kentucky next week as they try and keep their 4-game shutout streak alive.
  • The Lady Raptors of Ravenwood have outscored their last two opponents 21-0 after a 2-2 tie with St. George’s on the 21st. They will have a district Battle of the Woods next week and then will also be at the Ladies Championship with Fairview. The Lady Raptors are 3-0-1 and 2-0 in District play.
  • Brentwood’s Lady Bruins haven’t lost any games, they also haven’t won them all. With two ties this season , including this week a 3-3 tie with Harpeth Hall, the Lady Bruins look to move forward next week when they welcome Ravenwood in the Battle of the Woods.
  • Independence is 3-0, 1-0 district and has outscored their opponents 22-0.
  • After dropping 3 straight district games, the Lady Spartans of Summit bounced back in their last game against district foe Dickson County 12-1. Summit will face off against BGA next week.
  • A young Centennial Cougars team continues to look for their first win. The Lady Cougars have been outscored 24-3 in their first 6 games.
