There are GFWC clubs in every state and in several foreign countries. Almost every club sends in annual reports to their State Federation chairperson for each CSP and Advancement Area. Statistics from each report are compiled and all the narrative reports are judged. One club in each award category is picked as having the most creative entry in that program area.
GFWC Spring Station club received TWO Club Creativity Awards. They won for Membership and the GFWC signature project: Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention. Not bad for a 5 year old club with less than 30 members!
For membership – the creative project was the membership workshop held by a facilitator where the club discussed future projects and needs.
In Domestic Violence, the club was recognized for the Amethyst Affair – Art, Auction, & Awareness fundraiser where we raised money for the local domestic violence shelter, had several awareness activities, and had silent and live auctions that included original art.
International GFWC awards are presented by the GFWC President and the GFWC CSP or Advancement Area Chairman at the international convention every summer. This year, the annual convention was in Memphis, where we celebrated 125 years of Federation Club Work
