GFWC Spring Station Woman’s Club Hosting Drive for Shoes & Books

This Saturday, Sept 22, from 9 am—2 pm, local area residents are invited to “drive thru and drop off” shoes, books, and especially Imagination Library books at Bostleman Automotive of Spring Hill, located at 3020 Belshire Village Drive.

Organized by members of the local organization, the GFWC Spring Station Woman’s Club is collecting new and gently used shoes—men, women’s, and children’s—for Soles for Souls, participating in a statewide project initiative by GFWC Tennessee. Soles for Souls creates sustainable jobs and provides relief to over 127 countries and all 50 states.

Also, the club is collecting Dolly Parton Imagination Library books to help build a replica of Dolly’s childhood cabin for display, also a GFWC Tennessee Initiative. Any other books that are collected will be used for a local library project.

The GFWC is an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. The local club, GFWC Spring Station Woman’s Club, meets on the first Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the lower level of the Winchester Community Building on Maury Hill Street in Spring Hill. Membership is open to those who seek friendship, fun, and fulfillment through community involvement.
