GFWC Spring Station Woman’s Club Honors National Child Abuse Prevention Month

pinwheel garden

Recently members of the GFWC Spring Station Woman’s Club planted a
pinwheel garden in front of Spring Hill City Hall. This project was part of the Pinwheels for Prevention campaign by Prevent Child Abuse America, and is supported by the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC), an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.

A pinwheel is an official symbol of great childhoods. Visit the garden and be reminded that all children deserve to be happy and healthy. The garden is in front of the Spring Hill City Hall, located at 199 Town Center Pkwy in Spring Hill.

The local club, GFWC Spring Station Woman’s Club, meets on the first Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the lower level of the Winchester Community Building on Maury Hill Street in Spring Hill. Membership is open to those who seek friendship, fun, and fulfillment through community involvement.
