Get Your Dog Washed, Vaccinated, or Chipped on Saturday

The Williamson County Animal Center offers $10 community rabies clinics for dogs and cats at three locations. They are open to the public and staffed by local veterinary clinics. Please bring cash or a check for payment. Dogs must be leashed and cats must be in carriers.

The rabies clinics are 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday,  Sept. 17, at College Grove Elementary, 6668 Arno-College Grove Rd, College Grove; Heritage Elementary, 4801 Columbia Pike, Thompson’s Station; and the Williamson County Animal Center, 106 Claude Yates Dr, Franklin.

At the Animal Center (shelter), microchips also will be offered for an additional $15.

In addition, WCAC will host a Wag ‘n Wash event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the shelter.  Doggie baths are available for a donation (weather permitting), and nail trims are $10.

Community rabies clinics also will be offered from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24, at Fox’s Grocery, 5773 Bending Chestnut Rd. in the Bending Chestnut community (it has a Franklin mailing address); Sunset Middle School, 200 Sunset Trail, Brentwood; and Fairview Elementary School, 2640 Fairview Blvd., Fairview.

The adoption center at Williamson County Animal Center, 106 Claude Yates Dr. in Franklin, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.Friday, Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.(through).  Adoptable animals can be viewed at www.adoptwcac.org. For more information, call (615) 790-5590.
