Get Muddy in Franklin at the 2015 Mud Run Nashville

Mud Run Nashville returns this year to Franklin’s Tap Root Farms on Sept 5th, and with multiple miles of course and more than 30 obstacles the Mud Run Nashville is getting down and dirty on the farm.

Multiple courses are available for adults, kids and even pets. There is a 3.1 mile 5K with 18+ obstacles, a 6.2 mile 10K course with more than 30 obstacles, a 1K Kids Mud Run for ages 5 – 12, and a 5K Muddy Dog Wave where dog-owners can run the course with their furry friends. Dogs are required to be on leashes.

Competition races are available for more serious runners, while there is also a DGAP division available for those that just want to have a bit of dirty fun at their own pace. Courses are the same for the Trophy/Competition race and DGAP, but those running competitively have a few more rules to adhere to than the DGAP runners.

DGAP runners may wear anything they want, even costumes, and take the course at any speed they want, although there is a four hour time limit to take the course. The average participant will complete the course in around two hours. Competition runners are required to wear certain attire Mud Run 2014including ankle boots and loose-fitting pants and must complete every obstacle in order to take home a trophy.

Tickets for each adult race is $65 and the kids run costs $30. Parking at the event also costs $10 per car. The event begins at 9 a.m. with most waves being out on the course by 10 a.m.

Showers will be available after the run, but it is recommended that you bring a towel and change of clothes for the ride home.
