Gersh, Rick, and Gordon from Whiteheart announced a one night only event on June 2019 in Brentwood where they will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Freedom album, one that was recorded at the Bennett House in Franklin.

VIP tickets, which includes a Q&A with the band, catered dinner, and meet and greet is already sold out, but general admission tickets are still available online here.

The one-night-only event will take place on June 29, 2019, at New Hope Community Church located at 605 Wilson Pike, Brentwood at 7:30 p.

You can expect to hear many of the original members of the critically-acclaimed Freedom lineup along with some surprise guests. The band will play music from the Freedom album and reminisce about the making of the album, with lots of “behind-the-scenes” stories shared from the stage. It’s an evening of music and storytelling that you won’t want to miss.

All profits from the concert will benefit both The Heimerdinger Foundation, a non-profit that provides nutrient-rich meals to patients fighting cancer, and Show Hope, a movement to care for orphans founded by Steven Curtis and Mary Beth Chapman.

Whiteheart formed back in 1982 and released 23 albums. Original band members were  Billy Smiley and Mark Gersmehl with a continuing change in band members. Rick Florian became the lead singer in 1985, the same year Gordon Kennedy joined the band. Kennedy went on to write “Change the World” for Eric Clapton, written several songs recorded by Garth Brooks and has toured with Peter Fampton.
