An investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in the arrest of a Georgia man, who is charged with stealing money from a cleared crime scene.

At the request of 21st District Attorney General Kim Helper, on November 8, 2017, TBI Agents began investigating a report of theft that occurred at a residence on Iroquois Drive in Thompson Station. A homicide had occurred at that address in October 2017. A resident of that home returned after the scene was cleared, and discovered that an envelope of money that had been in a bedroom was missing. During the course of the investigation, Agents developed information that Christopher Bianchi, who was a member of the clean-up crew brought in after the crime scene was cleared, was the individual responsible for taking the money.

On February 12th, the Williamson County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Christopher Bianchi (DOB 09/13/1986), of Cumming, Georgia, with one count of Theft. He was arrested today and booked into the Williamson County Jail on a $2,500 bond.
