Garth Brooks Rocks Bridgestone with 10 Song Encore

Garth Brooks

On Saturday night, we were able to attend the Garth Brooks concert at Bridgestone Arena. The Dec. 16 concert was the first one that Brooks announced in Nashville as part of his three-year world tour that he chose to end in his hometown of Nashville.

With the show selling out seemingly instantly, shows were added to the point where Brooks agreed to a total of seven shows at Bridgestone starting on Dec. 9, 10, 15,16, 17, 22, and 23rd.

As Garth stepped onto the step, the crowd was as loud as a Predators game, Brooks even noticed the enthusiasm playing a game with the audience to see which side of the arena was louder. It was a tough competition.

Brooks told the crowd from the beginning that he was there to play the old stuff not, his new stuff. The only new song he played was his recently released song number one single “Ask me how I Know.”

Brooks welcomed wife Trisha Yearwood to the stage where she performed fan favorites of  “American Girl” and “She’s in Love with a Boy.”

As the concert was coming to a close, Brooks runs to each side of the stage thanking the fans but his absence from the stage didn’t last for long.

Upon his return, he tells that crowd that Saturday night’s performance was being recorded for a live album and then goes on to perform Nitty Gritty Dirt Band song ‘Fishin’ in the Dark.’ From there, the house lights went up so Brooks could take requests from the audience from the signs displayed by fans, it was a ten song encore.

It was easy to see why Garth Brooks has been named the Entertainer of the Year for the sixth time at the past CMA Awards. There are a few tickets left for the remaining show, visit Garth Brooks website for more information.
