According to ABC Radio, Garth Brooks‘ “Friends in Low Places” is getting an all-star update to celebrate the song’s 25th anniversary. His rep confirms to ABC Radio that Garth has re-recorded the song with his hero George Strait, as well as Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line and Keith Urban. The new version apparently includes the third verse of the song Garth includes in his concerts.

Garth’s rep goes on to say “everyone was truly kind and great to work with — a real joy.”

“Friends in Low Places” was released in August 1990 and would go on to win CMA Single of the Year. The track helped Garth’s 1990 album, No Fences, be certified 17 times platinum by the RIAA.

We’ll keep you posted on Garth’s release plans for the new version of “Friends in Low Places.”

Brooks and Yearwood will also be adding their star to the Walk of Fame in Nashville on Thursday, September 10th.
