Fun at the Fair (Part 7-The Midway)

In case you have been out of town or living under a rock, we remind you that today is the last day of the amazing Williamson County Fair. Come out and take advantage of all the fun found on the Midway. Games, rides, food and entertainment await for you to enjoy. If you have not yet attended this year’s fair, you are really missing out.

Even with the rain, “this year’s fair has promise to be one of the most attended in the nine-year history,” said Richard Marsh. Midway sales are up almost 15 percent. Actual admission has been hard to determine says fair management as many have taken advantage of the free admission days for seniors, school spirit and patriot day. This year’s GraceWorks food drive brought in more than 6,600 cans of food for the food bank.

Visitors from more than 33 counties have been seen at the fair. “We are all about providing a family friendly safe and clean environment that folks from all over Middle Tennessee can enjoy. We track smiling faces and thank you’s from families as they leave,” said Mayor and Fair Chairman Rogers Anderson.

Shawn Klush “Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist” with Cody Ray Slaughter will close the entertainment for the fair tonight on the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital Main Stage. Fireworks will happen at 10 as well.

The fair is open from 10a-midnight today with Unlimited Ride Specials running from 10a-5p & 6p-midnight. This deal is only $25 and allows you to ride as much as you want!

New this year is Yoppi the Roller Coaster, a family friendly roller coaster for the little ones to enjoy!
