Frugal Shoppers Love Addison’s Attic

Addison's Attic Spring Hill

For more than 30 years Diane Whisnant has been a consignment store shopper. When she moved to the area she decided to open her own store, Addison’s Attic Consignment, filling a much needed niche in the area. Located in the Commons at Spring Hill, you can find treasures such as jewelry, antiques and women’s fashions.

For Whisnant the store is a place where people can connect with her and her community of shoppers. “My husband and I consider it a ministry,” she said. “I love connecting people with things they are looking for without breaking their bank.” She tries to provide a fun and thrifty shopping experience. Recently the store has expanded to include furniture.

Whisnant’s background in advertising and communications helped her launch this successful business. The expansion across the parking lot was a natural progression for fulfilling the needs of the local clientele. “The community seems to really love our store,” Whisnant said. “I have my regular customers who stop in once or twice a week to see what’s new, and grab the good items before they’re gone. I call these savvy shoppers my ‘Addison’s Addicts.’
