Free Artwork Projects for Kids at 4th Annual Porchfest

New this year, The Arts Council of Williamson County will be on hand with free artwork projects for the kids at the 4th Annual Westhaven Porchfest.  Westhaven Porchfest, Saturday, June 20th, is a family friendly and free events for the whole Williamson County community.

The Arts Council of Williamson County will host a booth from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the front lawn of the Westhaven Residents Club, and will provide all materials for children to creat their own colossal cardboard creations.

Using art to develop kids’ love of play, ACWC will provide boxes, tape and paints, and asks the children to simply bring their imaginations to build a castle, tunnel, or any other “out of the box” idea.  The creations will become a collaborative effort so the kids will be able to utilize their sharing and teamwork skills, while showcasing their creativity, engineering and architecture artistry.

The Arts Council of Williamson County is an all-volunteer, non-profit arts organization that supports the arts in Williamson County.  Through their efforts, they are able to provide artists in residence grants, exhibition spaces, as well as networking and further educational opportunities.   You can learn more about ACWC at www.artscouncilwc.org.

The 4th Annual Porchfest returns to the Westhaven community in west Franklin on Saturday, June 20th.  Porchfest is a family friendly and free event.  To see more about events happening at Porchfest, including performance and visual artists’ schedules, directions and interactive maps, you can download the Westhaven Porchfest apps or get more information at www.westhavenporchfest.org, or through social media using the links below.
