360 Krav Maga in Spring Hill is offering a free active shooter response exposition on Saturday, October 12, from 9 a – 4 p. The first time event will be held at their studio located at 220 Town Center Parkway, Spring Hill.
Attendees will learn what to do in an active shooter situation from Spring Hill Fire Department, Spring Hill Police Department and Life Flight. Topics to be covered include:
- Stop The Bleed: How To Control Bleeding with Tourniquets
Victims in an Active Shooter often can be saved with fast medical attention, specifically controlling bleeding by using tourniquets. In this mini-class, you will learn how to manually control bleeding and also how to apply a tourniquet so you can move on to another victim.
- Tactical Considerations for Conceal Carry
You find yourself in a building with an Active Killer. You have a firearm. What now? How do you engage? Are you sure there’s only one shooter? This mini-class will go over some tactical considerations that you should think about before engaging a shooter.
- First Responders Are On Scene: What Can We Expect
You’re on the inside with a killer on the loose. You hear the sirens. You’re hiding and waiting for help. How long until they get to you? What’s taking so long? In this “mini” class, law enforcement will go over what you can expect from them.
- Israeli Krav Maga Solutions Against a Gunman (When You’re Not Carrying)
There are many places where a law-abiding citizen is not permitted to carry their firearm.
