Cane Ridge star Devon Starling had 165 yards from scrimmage and had two defensive touchdowns, leading the Ravens to a 41-6 home playoff win over Franklin in the first round of the TSSAA playoffs on Friday.

The loss ended the Rebels’ season at 6-5, while Cane Ridge (11-0) will host Ravenwood (9-2) next week.

Franklin quarterback Joshua Nichols was 10 of 24 passing for 155 yards. Running back Matt Gaca has 13 carries for 57 yards.

FHS held Cane Ridge to 301 yards, but its offense managed only 220. The Rebels’ Christian Moolman had five tackle and two sacks.

Franklin kicker Ian Burr accounted for the first quarter’s only points with a 27-yard field goal at 4:35. He’d add another later.

It concluded a bounce-back season for the Rebels, who went 3-7 and didn’t make the playoffs last year.
