It’s a busy week in Franklin with Elvis sightings at the High School graduation, the failing of a proposal to have horse-drawn carriages in town, and the big move of the Williamson County Rescue Squad.
As if that is not enough we have numerous tennis matches that may bring state championship titles home. Battle Ground Academy won their first TSSAA championship and Franklin Schools will provide summer breakfast and lunch for the 3rd year in a row through the 2012 Seamless Summer Option.
Meals will be available at Franklin Elementary School and Freedom Intermediate School from 8-8:30 am and 12:15-12:45. “The need here in Franklin is great and we are proud to be a part of this program. No child should ever be hungry and we will do everything we can to make sure that doesn’t happen here,” said Marilyn Ryan, FSSD Child Nutrition Supervisor.
