Behind the play of Lance Wilhoite and Eric Stoxstill-Diggs, Franklin Road’s explosive offense rolled again in a 56-16 rout of Goodpasture on Friday night
Stoxstill-Diggs was 20-of-30 passing for 294 yards and three touchdowns and added a rushing score, and Wilhoite caught 11 of those passes for 213 yards and two scores.
Watson Tansil added 70 yards rushing, a rushing score and an interception return for a touchdown.
Bragan Wilson also had a pick-six for the Panthers.
FRA extended a big second-half lead when Stoxstill-Diggs hit Wilhoite with a 15-yard scoring strike, the Jack Norris point-after extending the margin to 35-7.
Stoxstill-Diggs added a 1-yard run and a Norris point-after made it 42-7.
Stoxstill-Diggs threw a pair of long first-quarter touchdown passes, the first, a 62-yard throw to Wilhoite.
A 41-yard touchdown pass to Canaan Catlett and a 22-yard Jack Arsta accounted for two more first-half touchdowns.
Goodpasture countered with a touchdown, but FRA got that score back with a Tansil 4-yard scoring run. The 28-7 margin held at half.
Stoxstill-Diggs now has over 1,000 yards passing and 500 rushing this season.
FRA, 3-3 overall and 2-2 in the district, travels to Columbia Academy next week.
