Franklin Road Academy’s Eric Stoxstill-Diggs’s breakout 2017 season continues to get better.
On Friday, the Panthers’ quarterback ran for two scores and threw for two more, leading FRA to a 35-32 victory over Donelson Christian.
Stoxstill-Diggs had a 10-yard run to account for the game’s final points with 9:36 remaining, and scrambled for a five-yard gain on a fourth-down play as FRA ran out the clock on the game’s final drive.
Panthers’ star Lance Wilhoite caught six balls for 94 yards and scored twice.
Stoxstill-Diggs had an 8-yard touchdown run, putting the Panthers up 14-7 in the first half, as the teams battled back and forth all night.
FRA defensive back Riley Speed had an interception and broke up four passes.
The Panthers’ Watson Tansil, a Columbia football commitment, had six tackles.
