Local Country Star to Join Justin Timberlake in Golf Tourney

Franklin resident and country star Clay Walker will return to his hometown of Houston, TX for Super Bowl weekend to perform at the Houston Texas Treasures Extravaganza of Stars event February 4th. Clay will be joined by superstars including Buzz Aldrin, George Foreman, Jordin Sparks and Booker T for a night to celebrate the Houston art world.

Immediately following this event, Clay will head to California to be a part of one of the most exciting events on the PGA TOUR, the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. An avid golfer, Clay will join Justin Timberlake, Mark Wahlberg, Carson Daly, Jake Owen, Charles Kelley and more as a 2017 Celebrity player against professional golfers. The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is contested annually in front of over 190,000 spectators and millions of television viewers on three of the Monterey Peninsula’s premier golf courses: Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course, and Monterey Peninsula Country Club Shore.

Clay Walker has sold over 11 million albums; had 11 No. 1 hit singles, four RIAA Platinum, and two Gold-certified albums, under his belt. Outside of the stage and studio, Clay is the founder of Band Against MS (BAMS) a non-profit charity that funds MS research and education. Walker established BAMS in 2003 with the goal of helping others living with the same disease he has battled since 1996. To date, BAMS has raised more than 4.5 million dollars. Walker is expected to release a new album later in 2017.
