Franklin receives National Media Attention

Take a look at all of the National Media Attention Franklin has received lately.

  • June edition of Southwest Airlines Spirit Magazine included a piece about Nashville and downtown Franklin  stating ”  this quaint Southern charmer is packed full gift and antique shops, book stores,  art galleries, and lovingly restored homes. The historic township hosts fun, free, events throughout the year”
  • Popular magazine Family Circle has included Franklin in a list of the country’s 10 best towns for families! The publication took into account affordable housing options, a strong sense of community and exemplary school systems. Franklin will be featured in the August 2014 edition of the magazine.
  • The Arizona Central newspaper listed off their top four things to see in Franklin, and our downtown district was one of ’em! Other sites include the Lotz House Museum, Carnton Plantation and The Carter House.
  •  The Wanderers, a blog written by two retirees traveling the U.S., recently took a trip to downtown Franklin and wrote all about it! The couple went on a walking tour of the city and learned about the historical significance of many of downtown Franklin’s buildings–and stopped into several shops along the way.
  • Runner’s World recently compiled a list of 18 5K races around the country they’d suggest to runners, and included downtown Franklin’s Franklin Classic 5K! The site says the race is worth the trip because not only is the course filled with scenic countryside views and old Southern mansions, but Franklin is a great spot to explore after the race once the crowds clear.
  • New York Times The Upshot conducted a study where they ranked Williamson County, Tennessee to be  the 10th best place to live in the country.
