Franklin Ranked Among Best Cities for Women Entrepreneurs

GoodCall ranked Franklin, TN among the ‘Best Cities for Women Entrepreneurs’ according to a 2015 report. With the growth of women-owned businesses on the rise throughout the country, it’s never been a better time to be a woman entrepreneur. In the report, GoodCall aggregated government data to better understand which U.S. cities provide the best backdrop for women entrepreneurs to launch a business – and which do not.

The cities that rank highest in this report are places where women entrepreneurs have a better chance of finding a healthy economy and stable job market, as well as support from the local community and other like-minded businesswomen.

Have you ever walked inside a local small business and noticed a $1 dollar bill framed on the wall? There’s a good reason for that. Considering the countless un-billable hours and sacrifice it takes to open the doors of a business, receiving revenue from the first-ever customer is reason to celebrate. But what happens after you’ve reached the one-year, five-year or even 10-year milestone? How do entrepreneurs remain relevant and keep their businesses growing?

Join Williamson, Inc. Women in Business on Tuesday, August 25 as three local female entrepreneurs will share their knowledge with attendees. The meeting will be held at Brentwood United Methodist Church, 309 Franklin Road, Brentwood. Cost is $22 for members and $42 for guests.

Learn from a panel of female entrepreneurs who know a thing or two about growing a successful company. Jill Cole, owner of Southern Events Party Rental, Kelly Gilfillan, CEO and executive editor of Home Page Media Group, and Amy Tanksley, owner of Uncle Classic Barbershop, will be the featured guests at Women in Business
