Franklin Police Honor the Career of Detective Robert Lindsey

Members of the Franklin Police Department and City Officials honored the career and accomplishments of Detective Robert Lindsey.

Joining the Department in 2000, Lindsey served as a patrol officer, field training officer, and detective. His assignments included time in Patrol, Training, Criminal Investigations, Evidence, and as a member of the Department’s Dive and Bike Patrol Units.

A graduate of the prestigious National Forensic Academy, Detective Lindsey, an expert in latent fingerprint examination, trained others in crime scene processing and was regularly called on to provide forensic assistance to local, state, and federal agencies.

Prior to joining the Franklin Police Department, Lindsey served for more than 22 years in the Air Force, working in Security Forces and as an anti-terrorism specialist in the Middle East. He was a commissioned reserve officer in Shreveport, LA from 1992-1998. Married since 1978, Detective Lindsey and his wife, Clara, have two children and three grandchildren.

“Detective Lindsey’s service to the Franklin community is sincerely appreciated,” said Chief Deborah Faulkner. “We will miss seeing him every day at Headquarters, but hope that the Franklin Police Department will always be a special place he considers home.”
