Franklin PD Updates Fireworks Show July 4th-CANCELLED

Fireworks

Weather has impacted tonight’s 4th of July Fireworks Show in Franklin. Those wishing to enjoy tonight’s fireworks, sponsored by WAKM and the City of Franklin, will have to watch from locations that do not include the Park at Harlinsdale. The ground is too wet and soft to accommodate a crowd, forcing City Officials to close the Park at Harlinsdale as a viewing site for tonight’s display.

Fireworks will be visible from places like Franklin High School, the Williamson County Recreation Center in Franklin, and The Factory. Spectators are encouraged to park in parking lots and other designated parking areas. Because of traffic and pedestrian safety concerns, parking on the shoulder of the road to watch fireworks is prohibited. Extra officers will be on hand to help keep traffic moving; congestion and delays, however, should be expected.

Open alcohol is prohibited, and all fireworks are illegal within Franklin’s City Limits. Large crowds, repeated flashing lights, and loud noises are likely to have a traumatic effect on your dog, so we recommend leaving pets at home. If you bring them with you, please be sure to keep them on a leash.

Tonight’s show starts at 9:15.
