Franklin Police and Crime Stoppers are offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the identity and arrest of three counterfeiters. On June 24, each of these suspects used counterfeit $100 bills to collectively ‘purchase’ more than $2,000 in merchandise at the Columbia Avenue Target.

Surveillance video shows the suspects arriving and leaving at about the same time – but all making separate purchases, using the counterfeit bills. Detectives believe that these suspects are committing similar crimes in other midstate cities.

Retail managers are encouraged to ensure that employees are properly trained on their policies regarding the detection and identification of counterfeit currency, especially $100 bills.

Information regarding their identities is worth up to $1,000 with an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers: (615) 794-4000
