Franklin Police have identified the body found in the Harpeth River Saturday to be Jason Reaves, age 42
According to FPD Lt. Charles Warner, foul play is still not suspected. Based on investigator observations and the assessment of the doctor who performed the autopsy Monday morning, Mr. Reaves’ death is believed to be accidental.
Warner went on to say the official manner and cause of death, however, will be ruled on by the Medical Examiner’s Office after lab results are made available in the weeks to come.
Kayakers discovered the body in the Harpeth River near the Chestnut Bend subdivision Saturday at 8:20 am.
