A Franklin driver remains jailed after officers clocked his car traveling 94 mph near Pinkerton Park this past weekend.
According a news release, Franklin Police Department officers saw the driver Saturday night in a 30 mph zone on Murfreesboro Road and Blue Grass Drive. Just moments later, the driver drove onto a downtown sidewalk, over a crosswalk signal, and crashed through a fence at Third Avenue and South Margin Street. The release said the driver refused to stop, evading officers.
Using his license plate information, officers later arrested the driver Jessie Haddox, 27, at his home on Hardison Drive. Authorities charged Haddox, with speeding, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, driving without insurance, and felony evading. He remains jailed on the $4,500 bond set by the Magistrate.
He will appear in court Nov. 10 at 1 p.m.
