Franklin has been named one of the best places to visit during Christmas by Oprah Magazine. Thanks to Franklin’s Dickens of a Christmas festival, the magazine listed Franklin as number three in their list of 19 Best Christmas Villages in the World 2019. The annual event draws 100,000 visitors to its event with its Victorian-themed Christmas, Christmas carolers, carriage rides, and a chance to take a photo with snow.
You can also meet the characters like Tiny Tim, Jacob Marley, Ghost of Christmas Past and, of course, Ebeneezer Scrooge.
Dickens of a Christmas is one of the free events provided by the Heritage Foundation of Williamson County. This year’s Dickens of a Christmas event will be held in downtown Franklin on December 14-15, 2019.
