Franklin High School students performed extremely well at the Model United Nations conference, which took place over Thanksgiving break. Over 800 students from across middle Tennessee participated.

The following groups were ranked in the top 5 for their presentation:

Andrew Kochomba, Nial Redha, and Sam Perez – Representing Burundi

Outstanding Delegate Award (Awarded to the top 20 students in each of the 2 General Assemblies):

Sophia Badalian – Representing Romania
Maris Goodwin – Representing Zambia
Amanda Wong – Representing Guatemala
Preston Gates – Representing Peru
Liam Robertson – Representing Peru

Outstanding Resolution Award (Awarded to the 20 countries (groups)):
Reid Solomon and Jack Ray – Representing Costa Rica
Sidonia Cannon, Megan Carneal, and Sally Johnson – Representing Niger
Carter Imbrecht, Jacob Evans, and Ethan Houston – Representing Estonia
Bhalika Rajan, Sarah Li, and Anna Nguyen – Representing Dem. Rep. of Congo
Amanda Wong, Aditi Srivastava, and Sammi Zhang – Representing Guatemala
Outstanding Security Council Member (Awarded to 1 student on the Security Council):
