The Franklin High School Athletic Administration announced that current Rebels Men’s Team Head Coach Mike Burgoyne has been selected as the new Rebels Women’s Soccer Coach, replacing former 18 year coach Jimmy Burchett, who was let go in November.
In Burgoyne’s two seasons as head coach, that group has posted a 37-0-2 record and earned back-to-back state Class AAA titles.
This is not Burgoyne’s first experience with the Lady Rebels. He spent the 2006 season as an assistant to Burchett after spending a year with Page High School’s girls. He was also the Page boys’ head coach in 2006 and 2007 .
