Franklin First Responders Head to South Carolina

A group of first responders from the Franklin Fire Department and Franklin Police Department are deploying to South Carolina to provide assistance to those in the path of Hurricane Florence in South Carolina.

City of Franklin visited Station 8 in Westhaven where they spoke to firefighter Rob Thomas, a member of the water rescue team. There are 13 members from the City of Franklin first respondents who are headed to South Carolina. A request was made to the State of Tennessee to supply 12 water rescue teams, Williamson County will be supplying two water rescue teams to support the Hurricane effort. The team left from Franklin this morning and will arrive in South Carolina by the evening.
