A worker was injured and had to be rescued after falling through the floor of a fourth floor balcony to a third floor balcony below it at a construction site today.

The incident happened just after 11 a.m. at the Cameron at Franklin Park apartments building project, which is under construction at 6300 Tower Circle off of Carothers Parkway.

Franklin Firefighter-Paramedic Mark Hall said that the worker stepped off a construction lift onto the decking of a fourth floor balcony that was under construction.  According to Hall there was a hole in the decking and the worker fell through it, landing approximately 12 feet below on a third floor balcony that was directly beneath it.

The Franklin Fire Department used Tower 6 to quickly access and deliver the patient, who was immobilized in a Stokes rescue basket, to the ground.
