The TSSAA State Bowling Championship, originally scheduled for this past weekend at Smyrna Bowling Center, is happening this Friday and Saturday.
The Franklin Lady Rebels (20-0), the only local team to make it this far this year, beat Lebanon 17.5 -9.5 two weeks ago in sectionals.
They rolled against Hardin Valley on Friday in the state quarterfinals, but lost 18-9.
Games 1-4 were quarterfinals; 5-6 semifinals; and 7 the championship.
In Division I boys, Columbia beat Smyrna 18-9 for the championship.
In Division II boys, Father Ryan lost to Christian Brother 14-13 in the quarterfinals.
In Division II girls, Father Ryan lost in the quarterfinals to St. Agnes, which went on the win the championship.
Individual championships took place last week, before the snow storm forced TSSAA to reschedule the team competition for Friday and Saturday, with athletes from local schools represented. Those results are here.
